Cotton Harvester
Harvests cotton and compacts it into large modules/bales.
What it is used for
Harvests cotton and compacts it into large modules/bales.
How to operate it
Harvest ripe cotton until the machine forms a complete module, then unload it in a clear area for compatible transport equipment.
Selection and setup
Check the in-game shop for power requirement, working width, capacity, supported fill types, hitch/header compatibility and optional configurations before purchase or leasing.
Base-game examples
Case IH Module Express 635 • John Deere CP690
Operating procedure
Before starting, confirm the machine is compatible with the crop/material and that the power unit meets the shop requirement. Attach or enter the machine, unfold/prepare it, position at the start of the work area, lower/activate the working components where applicable, then work consistent passes at the machine’s rated working speed. Monitor fill level, material type and missed strips. Stop/lift the working parts before tight headland turns, reposition, then resume.
Before you buy or lease
Check working width, working speed, power requirement, capacity, supported fill/crop types, hitch/header compatibility, wheel/tyre options and whether the tool combines another field operation. Lease highly specialised equipment when it will only be used for a small acreage.
Compatibility & attachments
This shows what the equipment connects to, which attachment families work with it, and what each combination is used for. For a specific model, the in-game shop Combinations panel is the final compatibility check.
| Compatible connection / attachment | Used for | Important notes |
|---|---|---|
| Cotton bale transport | Move finished cotton modules/bales after harvesting. | The harvester forms its own cotton bale/module; standard hay balers are not used. |

Procedure
- Use this machine only when the cotton crop is fully harvest-ready inside its seasonal harvest window.
- Prepare/unfold the machine and make sure any required receiving trailer or pallet/bale handling equipment is available before the first pass.
- Align with the first row/edge, lower/activate the harvesting unit and work at its rated speed.
- Keep the machine correctly centred on rows where the crop system requires row-following.
- Monitor onboard capacity/output handling and unload or collect output before it blocks continued harvesting.
- Finish with careful headland passes so crop at the edges is not left behind.

Alternative options

Square-module system.
Practical tips
- Buy/lease module transport that matches the harvester type.
- Operate at the tool’s rated working speed and allow space at headlands for clean turns.
