Grass
Grass supports hay, silage and animal-feed workflows and regrows after cutting.
Mow
Cut mature grass with a mower. A wide mower or self-propelled mower increases throughput on large areas.
Choose the output
Pick up grass directly for fresh feed/silage, ted it into hay, or bale it. Windrowing is optional but speeds collection by concentrating material.
Regrowth
After collection, a grass roller can reset/prepare the field and give a fertilisation stage. Grass normally needs only one fertilisation stage.
Procedure
- Mow only after grass has reached a useful growth stage.
- For fresh grass, windrow if desired and collect with a forage wagon/baler.
- For hay, ted the cut grass first, then windrow and collect/bale.
- For silage, wrap compatible grass bales or put loose grass/chaff through a bunker/fermentation route.
- After cutting, roll/fertilise grass as appropriate so the next growth cycle starts efficiently.

Practical tips
- Regrows after cutting; practical cutting depends on growth stage.
