How to operate it

Attach the correct header, unfold the combine, activate the harvester and header, then follow the crop rows. Unload to a trailer before the grain tank reaches capacity.

Check the in-game shop for power requirement, working width, capacity, supported fill types, hitch/header compatibility and optional configurations before purchase or leasing.

Operating procedure

Before starting, confirm the machine is compatible with the crop/material and that the power unit meets the shop requirement. Attach or enter the machine, unfold/prepare it, position at the start of the work area, lower/activate the working components where applicable, then work consistent passes at the machine’s rated working speed. Monitor fill level, material type and missed strips. Stop/lift the working parts before tight headland turns, reposition, then resume.

Before you buy or lease

Check working width, working speed, power requirement, capacity, supported fill/crop types, hitch/header compatibility, wheel/tyre options and whether the tool combines another field operation. Lease highly specialised equipment when it will only be used for a small acreage.

Procedure

  1. Fit a header that is compatible with both the combine and the crop.
  2. Unfold the combine/header and position at the crop edge; enable straw swath first if the crop can produce straw and you want to collect it.
  3. Lower and activate the header, then drive straight harvesting passes at the header rated speed.
  4. Watch the grain tank and unload into a trailer or auger wagon before the tank fills and stops harvesting.
  5. Lift the header for headland turns, align the next pass and continue until the field is complete.
  6. After harvesting, collect any straw swath separately with a baler or forage wagon if required.

Practical tips

  • Header width drives capacity demand; make sure transport can keep up.
